Water warts
● Symptoms
• Small, shiny, round bumps measuring about 2–5 mm in diameter.
• Each lesion typically has a tiny central dimple (indentation), which is characteristic of this condition.
• Usually not painful or itchy, but scratching can cause the lesions to multiply and spread.
• Commonly seen in children, often spreading through shared water environments such as swimming pools.

● Treatment
• In many cases, the condition resolves naturally over several months to years, but treatment may be advised to prevent spreading.
• To stop further spreading or scratching, mechanical removal with fine tweezers may be performed.
– To minimize discomfort, a numbing tape (topical anesthetic patch) is applied for about 60 minutes before the procedure.
– This method provides a quick and effective resolution for most cases.
• If inflammation develops, topical medication is applied to calm irritation.
• Silver ion–containing creams may also be used to help prevent secondary infection and promote healing.
