● Main testing methods
• Blood Test (Specific IgE Antibody Test)
A simple blood test that measures your immune system’s reaction to 39 common allergens such as dust mites, pollen, or certain foods.
Only a small blood sample is needed, and results are usually available in about one week.
→ Suitable for children as well.
• Patch Test (Contact Allergy Test)
Used to determine whether eczema or rash occurs when your skin touches materials like metals, cosmetics, medications, or rubber.
Small patches containing these allergens are applied to your back and left for several days.
Reactions are then checked to identify any contact allergens.
• Prick Test (Skin Reaction Test)
A small amount of allergen is placed on the skin and lightly pricked with a needle.
After 15–30 minutes, redness or swelling indicates an immediate-type allergic reaction.
→ Especially useful for confirming food allergies or pollen sensitivities.
